Video: Earth tremor destroys Sarkodie’s room and killed 3 rats

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has joined the list of whining Ghanaian celebrities who took to twitter to share aftermath pictures and videos of the Earth tremor that hits part of Accra. A few hours ago, parts of Accra was hit with an earth tremor, which caused fear and panic throughout the whole night. Most people including celebrities thought it was the end of the world as described in the Christian Bible. After the earth tremor, which lasted for a few seconds, Sarkodie posted a video showing how his room was wrecked in the process Although there are no casualties recorded, the aftermath of the earth tremor is not so pleasing. From the video, one could tell it isn’t Sarkodie’s actual house but his hotel room, where he is staying for the mandatory quarantine. Massive breakthrough as African scientists finally discover coronavirus vaccine

According to reports today, the Nima police station has been broken into buy some thieves The theft which occurred during the early hours of Thursday, 19th June, 2020, came as a surprise both to the officers of the police station and the general public. It was reported that, the thieves made away with certain valuable items such as laptops, printers, etc. Also, the uniforms of some of the police officers, which way hanging in the police station, were also taking by the thieves. No arrests have however be made and none of the items have also been retrieved.

Northern Region: Three-month-old baby dies of COVID-19

A three-month-old baby has died of COVID-19 in the Northern Region, bringing the death toll in the region to three. The baby was referred from the Savelugu Hospital to the Northern Regional Hospital in Tamale but died shortly afterwards The two others are an 80-year old lady who died in May and a 24-year-old lady who died last week. The Northern Regional Health Director, Dr John Eleazer, in a radio interview with Accra-based  Citi FM  said the region has a total case count of 52. According to him, 32 persons have recovered from the disease, with 17 active cases being managed at home. As at Tuesday, June 16, Ghana's total case count stood at 12,193 with 4,326 recoveries and 58 deaths.
