A Ghanaian artist reported Stonebwoy & Mr. Drew to Rotimi over their copyright song that got deleted.

It seems Stonebwoy and Mr Drew have a low-key opponent monitoring their moves and ensuring that they put themselves in check.

The duo had their ‘Eat’ music video deleted from YouTube as well as other streaming platforms over copyright claims.

They copied Rotimi’s ‘Love Riddim’ song that has already received over 21M streams on YouTube.

Rotimi who is a signee on 50 Cent’s G Unit label, has a strong team handling his licensing.

His song is registered under LatinAutor – PeerMusic, Kobalt Music Publishing, UNIAO BRASILEIRA DE EDITORAS DE MUSICA – UBEM, UMPI, BMI – Broadcast Music Inc., LatinAutor, and 7 Music Rights Societies

This forced Rotimi to take down the video and on a copyright basis.

Sharing the news on his Instagram handle, the underground artist wrote:

“It’s very painful when someone steals your intellectual work…Honestly i cant tolerant this nonsense anymore…….if you cant write songs is it by force…Soso stealing…#stop stealing songs.”

On moral grounds, he did the right thing, however, he should have put himself in their shoes.

Information sighted online by our team reveals there is no way Rotimi would have known that his content had been duplicated by Mr Drew.

He was given a hint by a Ghanaian artist recognized as Emany. He sent Rotimi numerous messages alerting him that Stonebwoy and Mr Drew were eating from his labour.
